By default Windows will automatically look for a file called Autorun.inf on any CD you pop in to your system, this can be a big security issue as there are a lot of spyware and viruses distributed on CDs. In fact, Microsoft is even disabling this in their next security focused service pack.

There are a number of solutions for freeing up space on your full digital camera media cards when on holiday. You could take your laptop with you and download onto it but that may tempt you to work on holiday -bad move. You could buy one of the
battery operated portable hard drives or CD-writers that have media card readers on board and transfer your photos onto on of these. Some of these have screens to view the photos so you can prune if necessary. But my favoured choice is the
media card adapter from Belkin for iPod. I would have my iPod with me on holiday anyway, so now it can double as my back-up photo store as well.

A quick 30 second tip. When you are away from home or office, you can check any of your email accounts from any computer, WAP enabled phone or PDA. From any PC just open up a web browser and go to
www.mail2web.com. Easy, simple and secure. From a WAP enabled device goto http://mail2web.com/wap.
You can now buy your music tracks for 79p from the iTunes Music Store which is now available to iTunes users in the UK. iTunes runs on Windows as well as Macs and is probably the best jukebox/music player out there. Download iTunes from
Apple and check out the

You can save some typing when you are entering web addresses (URLs) in the address bar in Internet Explorer. For example instead of typing 'www.dell.com' and then ENTER, you can just type 'dell' and then hold down the CNTRL key and press ENTER. The www. and .com bits will be filled in for you.
